Working with the Kleinwalsertal tourist region, we had one mission: to forge new paths. And we don’t mean new routes through Vorarlberg’s stunning hiking area – we’re talking about new ways to present the popular holiday destination on social media.
From holiday experience to user experience: Our goal was to present the Kleinwalsertal region as lively, natural and emotional on social media as guests would perceive it on site.
Our digital (hero’s) journey started with a seemingly easy question: Who exactly is the Kleinwalsertal region? To answer this question, we thoroughly looked into the brand’s “inner values” and identified the necessary goals and personas to develop a spot-on storytelling strategy.
From strategy to implementation: Of course, we also wanted our storytelling strategy to play out on social media. Our goal: emotional, authentic content for guests as well as locals. Plus, we wanted our assets to be aspirational for all ages. That’s why we also launched a new TikTok channel for the Gen Z target group.
By the way: Parts of the social media material were produced during a two-day video shoot done by our in-house visual team.
True success stories: Our transmedia storytelling soon delivered positive results on various platforms. In only two months, we reached more than three million users on Pinterest. The new TikTok channel was also a success, with 4,000 new followers being generated within the same time frame.
