Content in the fast lane – online and offline

Who’s behind the project?

More than 40 years of experience in tyre retail and car services. 64 specialist workshops across Austria. PROFI & Reifen John is Austria’s biggest tyre dealer and a professional partner for all motorists. The successful Austrian full-service tyre specialist operates under the umbrella brand of Continental AG. In 2022, the company pulled in for a pit stop at Salzburg-based agency punkt & komma for the creation of authentic content.

What was the reason for the project?

The client chose punkt & komma as a co-driver to address the following issues: 

  • The BestDrive brand had yet to be established on the Austrian market.
  • The varied car services of PROFI & Reifen John should be presented on the website with the help of relevant content. The same was true for important brand topics and tyre knowledge.

Joint objectives

Based on the abovementioned scenarios, we identified two objectives:

  1. Raise awareness, especially for BestDrive winter tyres: We produced a brand video for shops in Austria and all franchise partners of PROFI & Reifen John, highlighting the product benefits.
  2. Boost the website performance with high-quality content: Based on an editorial mix of educational and inspiring content, the products and services were presented on the website, and internal linking was improved.

The biggest challenges

Presenting winter tyres in summer in an authentic way? That’s certainly a challenge – but an easy one for the punkt & komma visual team! What’s more, the video also needed to work without sound for offline use at the POS.

Answering the target group’s wh-questions. Standing out from the crowd. Reworking existing copy and creating educational content that has the power to sell products and services. Achieving high Google rankings with these optimisations. In short, we needed to go full throttle with the new web copy.

Project focus on balance and stability

Based on the objectives and challenges, the teams of punkt & komma managed to position PROFI & Reifen John in the fast lane. Striking the right balance between information and sales, the customer’s tyre retail and car services were successfully highlighted.

Content in the fast lane: the results

In addition to imagery for website and social media use, the abovementioned POS-TV video was another “racy” outcome of this project. In fact, it was so successful that we were asked to produce another version without graphics. This allows the client to add foreign-language logos and graphics and use the video for the global promotion of their winter tyres in all shops.

The content editors of punkt & komma also drove fast-paced results, creating user-optimised copy on all relevant topics. This content significantly boosts the website’s performance and solidifies PROFI & Reifen John’s reputation as a tyre expert.
