Who’s behind the project?

Hotel Barbarahof ist a family-run 3-star superior hotel in Saalbach. It’s located amidst the winter sports resort of Saalbach-Hinterglemm and is thus the perfect location for active holiday guests, couples and families. In 2016, current owner Roland Steger took over the business from his parents. He now manages it alongside his wife Katrin and with equal passion as his predecessors. “Being at home away from home” – that’s Hotel Barbarahof’s credo which is appreciated by regulars as well as new guests.

The challenge

Hotel owner Roland Steger took over Hotel Barbarahof in 2016 from his parents Rudi and Elfriede. He was faced with the challenge of managing the hotel as successfully as his parents. At the same time, he wanted to do his own thing and differentiate his style of business from the former owners. That’s why he wanted the online presence to inform existing as well as future guests about the hotel – and provide inspiration for their holidays in Saalbach. The aim was thus defined: The brand “Hotel Barbarahof” should be strengthened – especially, online. 

As a first step, an appointment was made with Roland and Katrin for doing on-site research at the hotel. The intention was to get to know the hotel, its surrounding region and the team a little bit better. Then all web copy for the new website was created in a search engine optimised way. Additionally, new e-mail texts were written, and the newsletter concept and design were developed from scratch. 

The punkt & komma team is proud to continuously accompany Hotel Barbarahof in their marketing endeavours. The recurring tasks include editorial planning, web copy, layout and distribution of newsletters as well as editorial planning of online magazine articles for their blog “G’schichten aus dem Barbarahof” (Stories from the Barbarahof). 

The special nature of the project

A holiday at Hotel Barbarahof resembles a holiday with friends. The heartfelt hospitality can be felt upon arrival at reception. It became clear early on that this hospitality should be conveyed in the hotel’s web copy, newsletter texts and magazine articles. Every holiday guest – be it a sports enthusiast or a family – should recognise this hospitality at first click. Additionally, the intention was to continuously provide information about the hotel and inspiration for its guests. Via the website, newsletter and the “G’schichten aus dem Barbarahof”.
