Who’s behind the project?

Falkensteiner stands for exclusive hotels and high-quality holidays in Austria, Italy, Croatia and select European cities. The Falkensteiner Group’s success story started more than 60 years ago with a little guesthouse in South-Tyrol’s Val Pusteria. Today, the family-run business encompasses more than 1,800 employees, 28 hotels and four residences. What makes the Falkensteiner Hotels so special is their “welcome home” philosophy of heartfelt hospitality and an extra bit of Alpine-Adriatic charm – a mixture of Alpine tradition and southern joie de vivre.

The challenge

Of course, the most obvious aim for a hotel is to be found in search engines by their potential guests – quite a common challenge for our content marketing agency. However, in this case, SEO-optimised texts based on individual keywords weren’t enough. Our web copy needed to be more powerful and provide users with an added value. Consequently, the biggest challenge of this project was to answer the questions of the individual target groups …

The special nature of the project

Of course, for 28 hotels, you are bound to have more than one target group. For instance, there are families, business travellers, wellness guests, sports enthusiasts, city travellers, golfers, skiers, hikers, singles, couples and many more. Some of them are looking for a beach holiday, others for a luxury holiday, a holiday with kids or with dogs, a wedding location or a seminar hotel. To meet all these different requirements, our task was to highlight the uniqueness of each hotel and convey its individual personality. 

On the one hand, this aim was achieved via the different holiday regions and, on the other hand, via the hotels’ respective amenities and services ranging from wellness offers to Falky Kids’ Land, leisure activities or congress centres. That’s why we created web copy which can be found by the right target group and which answers their questions. Texts that highlight the special features of each hotel and, at the same time, take into account the bigger picture: the exceptionally high quality standards of the Falkensteiner group and their promise of making holiday guests feel at home. 

In addition to the websites of the individual hotels, the project also involved the creation of thematic pages for the Falkensteiner website. These thematic pages gave an overview of holiday topics ranging from golf holidays to holidays with dogs, motorcycle holidays, group holidays and many more. The goal: to reach the respective target group and support them in finding the right hotel for their individual holiday needs and wishes. The solution: the deliberate use of topic-specific keywords and a well-conceived structure of the texts.
